October 14, 2007 Chicago Bears - Lance Briggs Game-Worn, Unwashed Home Jersey vs. Vikings (Photo-matched)
Lance Briggs has had his ups and downs with the Chicago Bears as an organization but he always remains one of their best players and one of the most dominating linebackers in the NFL.
Heck, Chicago's favorite son, Brian Urlacher was even willing to take a pay cut to retain him back in '07. Briggs eventually signed in 2008 with the Bears a six year deal worth $36 million. This Briggs game worn jersey is from the 2007 season when the Bears played against the Vikings on October 14. Briggs recorded seven tackles in the close game in which the Bears lost. The jersey shows tremendous use as it is unwashed and field fresh. Great use is demonstrated on the front and back identifiers - grass - soil - sweat stains. And on the shoulders with purple hit marks from facemasks, helmets. The right shoulder in particular shows tearing with a nice chunk missing.
A Reebok tag and size designator flag "50" are located in the tail. Situated in the collar is an "07-50" swatch - and wash tag in interior. The jersey is custom tailored on the bottom with stretch fabric. A Bears/game exclusive cert documents this jersey.
Getty photo matches from the game show Briggs pouncing Tavaris Jackson (77449007). Notice the grass staining on the back "5" and on the shoulder numbers. Awesome.
Two great front photo matches of the jersey on Getty are also available (77449060) and (77449059). Briggs proudly displays the grass staining on the front numerals and hit marks on the shoulders as a badge of honor.
