Pat O'Brien - Knute Rockne All-American - Notre Dame - signature + original opening night ticket (Oct.4,1940) to premiere in South Bend plus photo

This lot includes an album page hand signed by Pat O'Brien, an old b/w photo of Ronald Reagan and Pat O'Brien in their roles as George "The Gipper" Gipp and Knute Rockne (I can not claim that this photo is or is not vintage to 1940) and possibly the rarest piece in this lot - an original movie ticket to the opening night viewing of Knute Rockne - All-American at the Palace Theatre in where else... South Bend, Indiana.  The back of the ticket has been scanned but ticket is in great condition!!!  Once framed, this will be the conversation piece for any Notre Dame fan.

Knute Rockne, All American is a 1940 biographical film which tells the story of Knute Rockne, Notre Dame football coach. It stars Pat O'Brien, Ronald Reagan, Gale Page, Donald Crisp, Albert Bassermann, Owen Davis, Jr., Nick Lukats, Kane Richmond, William Marshall and William Byrne. It also included a cameo by legendary football coach Amos Alonzo Stagg, who played himself. The role of "George 'The Gipper' Gipp" by Ronald Reagan gave him the nickname of "The Gipper" for the rest of his life.

In 1997, this film was deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in their National Film Registry.

This lot is ready for you to frame up and brag about.  Extremely low opening bid.
