Rare 1937 New York Giants - National League Champions Hillerich & Bradsby Brown Bat (Features Three HOFers - Bill Terry, Mel Ott & Carl Hubbell)

Known in the hobby as "black bats" these commemorative bats were actually brown from 1934-37. They were issued to participants and VIPs of the organization represented in the Championship. The tradition continued with the 1937 New York Giants who won the National League Championship. The pennant winners were awarded Hillerich & Bradsby bats with each player's name/autograph engraved in gold on the lumber. It should be noted, this bat is exceedingly scarce on the market due to its vintage and remarkable condition. This one presents very well with the gold inlay still strong - and it only has minor surface wear from age/storage to note. Highlighted names in cursive script and block letter with three HOFers Bill Terry, Mel Ott & Carl Hubbell. Also includes Tom Baker, Cliff Melton, Blondy Ryan, Eddie Madjeski, Gus Mancuso, Harry Danning, Walter Berger, Hal Schumacher, Dick Coffman, Sam Leslie, Harry Gumbert, Jack McCarthy, Adolfo Luque, Mickey Haslin, Whitey Whitehead, Frank Snyder, Roy Spencer, Rip Ripple, Joe Moore and Dick Bartell.
