Rollie Fingers Signed AL Ball - HOF/WS Winner

Rollie Fingers, he of the waxed Snidely Whiplash moustache, was the pitcher most responsible for the current status of relief pitchers, primarily the closers.  Prior to Fingers, the bullpen was regarded as a demotion for starters, who nearly always returned to the starting rotation if their time in the bullpen was highly regarded.  Fingers did make a few starts, but it was almost immediately recognized that his greatest value was in the pen...where he had all star seasons and a large hand on three World Series winners.  His role in this transformation was a large part of what got him into the Hall Of Fame.  It was certainly not his WL record 114-118... Obtained from a lifetime baseball man with ties and contacts throughout the game.
