Whitey Lockman Signed NL Ball

Every serious baseball fan knows that Bobby Thompson scored the winning run in the 1954 NL pennant race for the New York Giants...after he slugged the game winning three winning homer.  And who scored the tying run?  Whitey Lockman, who entire major league playing career seemed to fly under the radar.  The closest major league to the steady, dependable, 280 hitting Lockman was probably Tom Henrich, the Old Reliable of the NY Yankees.  If Whitey had another nickname that Whitey, it would probably been Old Reliable II.  Also a major league manager and front office man, Whitey was a lifetime baseballer.  Inscribed to Bob and obtained from Bob...all Bob's out there, take note.
