1999 Dallas Cowboys - Emmitt Smith Game-Worn, Signed Jersey - Well Worn with Multiple Team Repairs - Photo Matched vs. Dolphins & Giants - Incl. Signed Letter From Emmitt Smith (Full JSA) & WeTrak Tagging
The Dallas Cowboys were certainly America’s Team in the 1990s. They were led by Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith and company. This gamer was worn in multiple games by Emmitt Smith during the 1999 season. It’s white mesh and in original unaltered condition fresh off the field. Both Nike “swoosh” logos can be found on each shoulder with the standard NFL logo patch on the front central collar. The reverse shows his nameplate “E. Smith” with the screened on numerals “22”. Collar tagging in the interior shows the year/set tag “99-46”. Overall the jersey shows tremendous use worn in many games with multiple abrasions from hard hitting defenses. Helmet, facemask and ground marks aplenty - almost all the colors of the rainbow - okay at minimum - purple, green and blue are represented. There are over 10 patch repairs on the shoulders and reverse – with the most prominent under the “T” as a nice photo match provided. Check out the photos provided from the games Smith played against the Dolphins and the Giants. You can see that repair detail right under the nameplate "T". Also as a highlight, Smith signed one of the back numerals in silver paint pen (“9”). A full LOA from JSA is included for the autograph on the jersey.
The most important part of this jersey’s provenance is the LOA signed by Emmitt Smith from the Open Doors Foundation. Smith auctioned significant memorabilia from his collection for charity after he broke Walter Payton’s rushing record in 2002. Smith signed the letter in black pen (“9-10”) and a full letter of authentication from JSA is included for the letter itself. In addition, the jersey was also authenticated by WeTrak with a SmartTag in the tail/collar.
