North/South Pole Explorer/Discoverer Admiral Richard Byrd Signed Book

In the early days of the 20th Century, GPS being a hundred years in the future...who was first at the North and South poles has always been, shall we say, contentious. What is certain is that Admiral Richard E Byrd was one of the first and most famous explorers at both the top and the bottom of the world. At the least he was doubtless the first man to overfly the South pole. Signed is a copy (with a nice dj, something quite rare) of his most famous book; Alone. Obtained from a five star bookstore specializing in exploration
