Late-60s HOF Hal Greer Phila 76ers Road Travel Suitcase and Game-Worn Stirrup Socks
Vintage late-1960's Philadelphia 76ers player road suitcase and striped stirrups used by Hall of Famer Hal Greer, well-known teammate of Wilt Chamberlain, and star of the powerful 1966-67 Sixers team which ended the eight-year championship reign of the Russell-led Boston Celtics. A perennial 10-time All-Star, Greer is typically considered the 3rd-best guard of the era, right behind Oscar Robertson and Jerry West. This standard 20" x 24" hardshell American Tourister suitcase is anything but standard -- it features great Sixers team logo stenciled on front, Greer's number "15" on side and his initials, "H.G.", on handle, and opens to reveal three (3) pair of Greer's 60's 76ers game-used stirrups (pulled over socks), including rarely seen red & blue variety. One latch on case is abit tempermental, but overall, this piece is in wonderful original condition and displays alotta history and miles related to asignficant and stellar NBA career. This unique display piece will make an exceptional addition to any serious game-used collection.
