Rare 1986-89 Wade Boggs Red Sox Game-Used Bat with Full PSA-DNA LOA (3 Batting Titles)
Significant game-used Wade Boggs personal model C235 Louisville Slugger documents four of the most spectacular seasons of the Hall of Famer's legendary career. From 1986 through 1989, Boggs batted a mindblowing .357, .363, .366 and .321, leading the American League in batting 3 of 4 seasons, and of course, notching an additional four All-Star selections and Silver Slugger awards. Measures 33.5-ounce, 34.5", and matches all known player factory records. Displays coat of pine tar mid-handle, an important Boggs identifier, and heavy game use throughout in the form of heavy ball marks, stitch marks and a repaired handle, as well as Boggs' number "26" markered in the cupped end of the barrel. The number on the knob appears to have worn off or been removed. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA-DNA, dated Oct 27, 2006. Noted expert John Taube concludes, "Based on our examination of this Wade Boggs professional bat, and its player use characteristics, we believe the bat was used by Boggs during the referenced labeling period." This is a special bat and representation of one of the greatest pure hitters in major league history.
