Chesty Lewis Burwell Puller (1898-1971) American Officer in the United States Marine Corps. Pulller rose from private to lieutenant general. His is the most decorated Marine in history. Puller was the first, and only Marine to receive the Navy Cross, the US Navy's second highest decoration after the Medal of Honor, five times. During his career, he fought guerillas in Haiti and Nicaragua, and participated in some of the bloodiest of World War II and the Korean War.
