2002 St. Louis Cardinals - Albert Pujols Game-Worn-Used, Signed Inscribed "5" Nike Cleats
Albert Pujols is a breath of fresh air among baseball's top tier players. A family man, Pujols is on pace to put up video game-like numbers by the time he retires. He's averaged a .323 clip with 40 home runs per season in his first five years. Phat Albert sported these [size] "12 1/2" cleats in the 2002 season. Photos match these as the same style he wore predominately in the second half of the season including playoff action. "5" is embroidered in white thread on both tongues and "5" has been penned in black felt tip on the outer heel as well. Good use is exhibited throughout. The size tags include an inventory code which was handwritten in black felt tip & sample on both. The bottom plastic-molded cleats show great wear. Pujols affirmed his approval of these with black felt tip signatures ("10") on both cleats. Great cleats from not only a fine talent but a good guy.
