2007 Albert Pujols Game-Worn Cardinals Jersey (w/2006 World Series Champions Patch)
Most ballplayers can only dream of having a "down" year where they bat .327 with 32 home runs and 103 RBIs. Albert Pujols may finish his career as the greatest hitter ever to step on the field. When he was cranking home runs and trying to keep the Cards in the NL Central race in 2007, he did so wearing this size "52" jersey. Accentuating the left sleeve is a 2006 World Series Champions patch. The team began wearing a Josh Hancock memorial patch following the pitcher's death in late April of 2007. Pujols used this jersey in the first month of the '07 campaign because it does not have the Hancock patch. It is custom-hemmed about 1/2" below the Majestic manufacturer's label, and it's been reported that Pujols has been wearing jerseys with a custom-hemmed tail since 2006. The jersey showcases wonderful wear with puckering and fraying on the two-color tackle twill identifiers. A softened Majestic label is sewn in the tail with a suspended size designator. The lower section of the Majestic label stitching was removed for the customized tail and then restitched. Secured inside the inner side gusset is an "0063" inventory code tag.
