1930's Washington & Jefferson College Game-Worn / Used Jersey (O'Shea Knitting Mills, Chicago Tagging)
The small liberal arts Washington & Jefferson College in western PA was a sports powerhouse in the 1920s. Heck, they made the Rose Bowl in 1922. This game worn football W&J blue jersey displays their proud grey "W" on front along with a V shaped accent. Also present are the player's sewn-on felt numbers on the reverse "19" and a crotch piece. Collar tagging dates to the 1930s and shows its manufacturer - O'Shea Knitting Mills, Chicago. Overall a difficult vintage jersey find which shows expected aging from storage/wear.
