1982-83 HOF Jim Palmer Baltimore Orioles Game-Worn Cap, Displaying Exceptional Use
Vintage 1982-83 Baltimore Orioles hat worn by Hall of Famer and three-time Cy Young Award winner Jim Palmer, one of history's greatest aces. He would compile a 20-9 record while wearing this cap, and notch a critical victory in the '83 World Series, helping the O's beat the NL champion Phillies in 5 games, while earning a third career World Series ring (1966, '70, '83).
Game-used Hall of Famer caps have become extremely desirable over the last several years, not only due to the cost relative to game-used jerseys from the same era, but also the versatility and additional display options they offer. This cap presents serious, season-long use from Palmer, and a level of exceptional wear serious collectors demand and pay a premium for. It displays all correct New Era tagging, styling and identifiers and extensive use throughout, including proper soiling to outer panels and heavy sweat and wear from Palmer on interior lining and band. In addition, his uniform number "22" is markered on band as well as under brim.
This is a terrific representation of a superstar of the era, offering just about all one could ask for in this format.
