This style has the rare spear and feather decal on each side from the 1965-69 era. The Riddell KRA-LITE lid has a single bar facemask with interior RK-4 suspension. Overall it shows great wear with scratches (etc.) and some aging (discoloration).
Helmets of this caliber only come around once in a lifetime. This style Feather helmet is desirable, and so rare, we have never seen another one with such great provenance of its kind.
We all like a good story and history behind the items we collect and this helmet's story can definitely deliver. Provenance comes from Chief Fertig, Chief of Police Huntington Park, Todd Marinovich's grandfather, he was the security at the LA Colleseum. He was close friends with the Equipment managers and they would gift him helmets often. This helmet was featured in a museum and comes directly from the Todd Marinovich collection.
