(2) 1978 Cincinnati Reds Big Red Machine Line-Up Cards From Pete Rose 3000th Hit & Hit Streak Year Both Signed by Sparky Anderson

Presented are two line-up cards from the Cincinnati Reds 1978 season. It was the last season Sparky Anderson managed the Reds. They finished in second place in the National League West behind the Dodgers.

1978 was also significant because Pete Rose had his 3000th hit on May 5th and had an amazing run at Joe DiMaggio's hit streak with 44.

These two line-up cards are from the 1978 season and were signed by Sparky Anderson. The first is from May 8, 1978 and represents his 3003rd hit in the bottom of the 8th in a loss to the Mets. The second card is from June 6, 1978. The Cards beat the Reds at home that day 4-1 and Rose had an ofer. However 8 days later on the 14th, Rose started his 44 hit game streak.
