1964 John F. Kennedy Assasination Original Wire Transmission UPI Teletype 25+ Bulletin Documents Belonging to San Diego Radio Station DJ
It was of the darkest hour in American history when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. Back then it was an era without 24-hour instantaneous news. There was no internet. The American people were informed of the tragedy via their local news broadcasts. The reporters were the first in line of the information that came through the teletype machine. Presented are a grouping of the original UPI BULLETIN reports that came through the wire transmission teletype machine at a San Diego radio station. The 25+ paper sheet bulletins in this lot recorded the event as it happened and had commentary from different people close to the President.
