1988 World Series Champions Los Angeles Dodgers - Steve Sax Game-Worn World Series Batting Helmet (Feat. WS Sticker)

Steve Sax equals "passion." To put that into perspective, he once broke coach Joey Amalfitano's finger with a congratulatory high-five while rounding third base on a game-winning homer. The Dodgers were the inventors of the "high five."

Presented is a game-worn Dodgers helmet worn during the 1988 World Series by the exuberant second baseman and 1982 Rookie of the Year. Sax went to bat 20 times and had six hits and scored three times during the Series (.286 avg.).

This stunning blue shell made by ABC company has the proper white "3" decal on the front and back of the shell, exhibiting great use with sweat wear (interior), exterior soiling and scrapes. All  the interior cushioning is intact except the ear padding which is included but has detached. The size is 7-1/8 and also has the warning sticker affixed in the interior.

Although probably used during the regular season because of the wear, this one was labeled with the 1988 World Series sticker on the verso designated specifically for use in the World Series.
